Jesus was a healer. His example calls us to provide care and support for those in need. Our church commits to loving and supporting each other through good times and bad.

At Somerset First United Methodist Church, our Congregational Care Team shares Christ’s love by reaching out to those in our church family who need a little extra care, comfort, or encouragement. Whether it’s through prayer, visits, cards, meals, or simple acts of kindness, we seek to remind one another that no one walks alone.

Our team serves in many ways — from hospital and homebound visits to phone calls, texts, and birthday or milestone cards. We deliver meals to those recovering from illness or loss, and bring flowers or treat bags to our senior adults and homebound members to brighten their day. Sometimes we even lend a hand with small repairs or household tasks for those who need a bit of help.

Through every act of care, we strive to be the hands and heart of Christ — connecting our church family in love and compassion.
