Help Our Church Through Our Church Ministries

At Somerset First United Methodist Church, ministry is how we live out our faith — serving God, our church family, and our community with love, compassion, and purpose. From music and media to children’s programs, care ministries, and even tending our gardens, there’s a place for everyone to share their gifts and be part of God’s transforming work in the world.

We believe that every act of service, no matter how small, helps build God’s Kingdom here on earth. Serving not only blesses others — it also draws us closer to God and to one another. In a time when so many people feel disconnected and lonely, ministry offers a meaningful way to belong, to build friendships, and to find joy through shared purpose.

We also understand that life can be busy, and not everyone can commit to a regular schedule. Many of our ministries welcome volunteers who can help as time allows — whether it’s lending a hand once in a while, serving behind the scenes, or joining a team that meets regularly. However you’re able to serve, your presence makes a difference.
